The prize may be fulfilled as access to a major AI inference provider through a subscription, token balance, API usage, or equivalent service, or as an approved gift card.
Expected provider choices include:
- OpenAI
- Anthropic
- another major inference provider approved by the Organizers
Fulfillment methods
Depending on the provider and recipient location, the Organizers may fulfill the prize by:
- purchasing a subscription for the recipient;
- purchasing or transferring provider credits where supported;
- purchasing an approved gift card up to the award amount;
- reimbursing a valid provider receipt up to the award amount;
- using another equivalent method agreed with the winner.
The Organizers do not guarantee that any provider supports gift credits, transfers, or third-party account funding.
Limits
- The listed amount is the maximum award value in USD.
- Fees, taxes, exchange costs, or transaction costs charged at purchase may count toward the cap.
- There is no guaranteed cash alternative.
- An equivalent provider or fulfillment method may be used when the winner’s first choice is unavailable or legally impractical.
- A team receives one prize for its placement, not one prize per member.
- The team selects one authorized recipient and decides how the value will be shared or used.
- A winner may decline the prize.
Verification
A potential winner must respond within 72 hours and provide enough information to verify:
- eligibility;
- team membership;
- repository and score;
- selected provider or gift card;
- recipient account, gift-card delivery information, or reimbursement receipt;
- any tax or payment information legally required.
Failure to verify may result in forfeiture and selection of the next eligible entry.
Timing
The Organizers should make a reasonable effort to fulfill verified prizes within 30 days after:
- the final winner announcement;
- resolution of any eligibility or scoring review;
- receipt of information required for fulfillment.
Taxes and provider rules
Winners are responsible for:
- taxes and reporting obligations;
- meeting provider account and age requirements;
- complying with provider terms;
- managing subscription renewal or cancellation;
- usage exceeding the prize value.
